Kauttua
The Kauttua ironworks area provides all visitors with interesting things to see and do. The historical buildings that once served the ironworks are now available for visitors as restaurants and meeting and accommodation premises.
The Kauttua ironworks area is situated in the town of Eura, by the Eurajoki river. The history of the ironworks dates back as far as the 17th century when Baron (Freiherr) Lorenz Creutz Jr. began iron processing. Antti Ahlström purchased the ironworks in 1873, initiated wood processing alongside the ironworks and then completely stopped iron processing in the early 1900s.
